David Hill celebrated our students whom achieved their yearly goal(s) on their I-ready Diagnostic #2 taken in early December. I-ready is a a district wide reading and math tool that allows for students to complete lessons on a customized pathway that is catered to the students current academic needs. Each student has a growth goal to meet as they progress through their weekly lessons. Once the student completes the diagnostic, the platform reveals whether their score has met a growth goal
To encourage our scholars to aim high and do their absolute best on their diagnostics, the administrators agreed to be duck taped to the wall by any student whom reached their stretch or typical growth goal.
The typical growth is the growth that the scholar is expected to make for the full year. The stretch growth is the growth that surpasses typical growth and places the scholar closer to either being on grade-level or above grade-level.
The students who achieved either growth goal on the math or reading diagnostic were able to use a piece of duck tape to tape Principle McIntyre and Mr. Burt to the gym wall.
