The fourth grade classes at David Hill got to embark on an amazing culture experience with their trip to the Akron Art museum. The exhibit focused on contemporary art and took the students through an interactive tour of the museum where they viewed the different displays of art all around the museum. Students were able to stop and interact with some of the exhibit as well as partake in fun activities.
The theme of the visit was for students to be their own inventions with art. Students worked collaboratively in teams to build a design based on a specific concept. Each team had roughly 30 minutes to assign jobs, design the artwork, and build it from scratch. The students enjoyed each bit of their activities and truly honed in on their creativity and team work skills.
